Roman & Gaynor Earns Spot on Top 50 Verdicts in Florida List

Roman & Gaynor is pleased to announce that our firm has earned a spot in the prestigious Top 50 and Top 100 Verdicts in Florida lists for 2016. This is a significant achievement that places our firm at the top of all plaintiff and cross-claimant jury verdicts obtained throughout the entire state last year. Our $4.35 Million dollar verdict came in at the 36th spot.

Attorneys Mark Roman and Morgan Gaynor secured the 36th highest verdict in the state last year – $4,356,000 – in a car accident personal injury case that was tried in March. In the case, Fortson v. Mercedes Benz of Melbourne, et al., Attorneys Roman and Gaynor represented a victim who was seriously injured as a result of being rear-ended by a Mercedes-Benz employee in Melbourne.

The crash caused our client to lose consciousness and receive emergency care at a local hospital. It also resulted in life-altering difficulties which will require substantial future medical expenses. Our firm worked diligently to clearly show how this preventable accident changed the life of our client, and worked to ensure the jury understood the medical, physical, and emotional impact of her traumatic brain injury.

During trial, Attorney Roman and Attorney Gaynor were able to effectively refute the defense’s opposition to causation and damages and remained steadfast in their fight to recover the maximum compensation possible. After resting their case, the jury returned the $4.35 million verdict, which will provide the compensation our client needs to cover past expenses, future medical needs, and her pain and emotional suffering.

Having a case result that makes the Top Verdict™ list speaks volumes about a law firm’s ability to produce real, notable results. Unlike other professional awards and accolades in the legal field, inclusion in the Top Verdict list is based on verifiable, objective facts rather than opinions or subjective evaluations. Attorneys are not selected for inclusion to the Top 50 or Top 100 Verdict list – they earn it.

While past results do not indicate future success, they do exemplify that attorneys possess the necessary experience, resources, and determination to produce positive results for clients, especially amid challenging and contested cases that require litigation. Being Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar, both Mark Roman and Morgan Gaynor have shown that they have extensive experience litigating personal injury cases and the necessary breadth of knowledge to be classified as specialists in their field.

Our firm is pleased that the efforts of Attorneys Roman and Gaynor and our entire legal team have earned us a top place in the Top Verdicts in Florida list for 2016. We believe this recognition is a product of our continued commitment to clients, and to leveraging decades of experience, expertise, and drive to secure justice and full compensation for the injured and the wronged. Over the years, we have used this same approach to recover millions of dollars in compensation for clients harmed in all types of accidents, and we look forward to continue helping local residents and families when they have been harmed by the negligence of others.
